About Us

We have always been & will always be a family business. When a person partners with The Evans Network, they become a part of our family. That was the belief of our founder, Albert L. Evans, Sr. Founded in 1939 in Pottsville PA, the company has evolved into the largest Intermodal Drayage provider in the United States. As of today, expanded operations include Truckload, Flatbed, LTL/Final Mile and transportation/logistics services.

Evans shifts strategic direction to full truckload services with the purchase of West Motor Freight and West Contract Services. WMF is a full TL van and flatbed business and WCS is an agency business model with approximately 10 agents providing full TL van and flatbed services.

WMF leverages its relationship with its largest customer opening new company stores in Warren OH (1993), Greensboro NC (1995) and Billerica MA (1997). WMF also wins a dedicated fleet contract in Georgetown, SC in the late nineties. WCS adds additional agents that provide van and flatbed TL services. By 1992, Evans exits the LTL business and begins to expand in the intermodal drayage market by opening company stores in Baltimore and Norfolk and partnering with an agent in Savannah. Evans also adds a few van TL agents to its business.
